Hail Pro FAQ

Have a roofing-related question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today at (888) 588-4245 for more information!
  • Why should I use Hail Pro?

Hail Pro has a core team of individuals, ranging from former public adjustors, catastrophic insurance adjustors, 5-star customer service agents, and accolated installers dedicated to the insurance restoration process. If your claim is denied by your insurance company, we have the experience and knowledge to turn that around on your behalf.

  • My roof is only a few years old. Should I be concerned about hail/wind damage?

YES. Newer roofs typically stand up to hail / wind better; however, hail and wind can have a devastating impact on any roof, regardless of age and composition. We have seen roofs installed within the past 12 months needing full replacement due to hail and wind damage.

  • Will it cost me anything to have my property inspected for hail/wind damage?

NO. At Hail Pro, we believe in providing value first. Our reports have a $200 market value but are provided at no cost and with no obligation to the homeowner.

  • I had someone inspect my home within the last 12-18 months. Should I have it examined again?

YES. Minnesota has such extreme climate changes on a yearly basis that homes are put to the test every few months. Damage that was caused last year may only be visible now. Hail Pro will inspect for damage to the entire exterior of your home, including windows, downspouts etc., with an emphasis on hail / wind damage.

  • I just moved into my home, and it was inspected prior to buying. Should I have it inspected for hail / wind damage?

YES. According to the American Society of Home Inspectors, most home inspections do not include inspecting for hail / wind damage specifically. A hail / wind inspection by Hail Pro can identify future problems in the making, and a Hail Pro Project Advisor can suggest a preventative measure that might help avoid costly future repairs.

  • What do I do next?

There are 4 clearly defined steps:

Step 1 - Identify and document the damage. At Hail Pro, we photograph and document the damage for your records.

Step 2 - If damage exists, immediately report the damage to your insurance company. They will appoint an adjustor to verify damage and also create a damage report with an estimate. Funds are then allocated for repair or replacement.

Step 3 - As the homeowner, you decide colors and materials and leave the rest to Hail Pro.

Step 4 - Complete the restoration outlined by the insurance proceeds. Hail Pro will assign multiple individuals proficient in each area of the restoration process to ensure the best possible outcome for you and your home.

  • Is there a warranty on workmanship and material?

YES. We back our work and materials with the best warranties available.

  • How long will my project build take?

There are many factors that go into the length of a build.

Roofing builds typically last 1-2 days but can get stretched out depending on the complexity, pitch, and square of your project. Most shingles are stocked, but designer shingles and color may have a lead time to get material.

Siding builds are varied depending on the type of material you have decided on, the size of your project, and the number of stories tall the project is. Siding can take anywhere from 1-2 weeks. Some material is specially ordered and has a minimum two week lead time to get material. Talk to your representative on what products are special ordered.

Window installs can last 1-2 days but take time to get each window made due to each opening having a unique dimension. Window project time tables vary on the manufacturer and specifics of the hardware.

All projects can vary in time, depending on the time of year and weather conditions.
